Fall Ball! Time to Register + Details

Where to go to register:
1.  Follow this link to the registration page:  https://tshq.bluesombrero.com/Landparkpacificll
2.  If you already have an account, sign in.  If you don’t have an account, set one up and then sign in.
3.  Once you’re signed in, click on the “My Account” button.  This will take you to a page that lists your players and their available programs.

Registration is pretty straightforward from there. Following are details on both the Baseball and Softball programs.  This will be new for some of you and a review for the rest – the program will largely follow the model we have established over the past few years.

SOFTBALL: We are offering two divisions for Fall Softball.  Our Minors Division (Coach-Pitch) is open to all girls born in years 2018, 2017, and 2016.  This is a great opportunity for young players to get introduced to the game of softball and to improve upon their skills for the Spring.   Our Majors Division (Player-Pitch) is open to all girls born in years 2015, 2014, 2013, and 2012.  This division is the perfect chance for players to get used to player-pitch softball.  The jump from coach to player-pitch can be drastic, and playing Fall Softball at this level introduces the girls to stealing, pitching, and catching so this transition becomes as seamless as possible.  This is also a great opportunity for those girls who will be playing 12U next year to build upon their existing skills before progressing to the next level of competition and play.   Both divisions will include weekday practices at Curtis Park or Land Park, as well as Sunday games against other Sacramento area little leagues.  There will be more games for the Majors Division with paid umpires, therefore there is a price difference between the two divisions.  Please contact us at LPPLLSoftball@gmail.com with any questions you have about our Fall Softball program.

BASEBALL: The Fall Ball program is open to all kids who are going to play in AA, AAA, and Majors during the 2025 Little League season.  We do not offer a program for T-Ball or Rookie. We will continue our partnership with the McClatchy High School Baseball team and coaching staff.  They will deliver the Skills Training Program and will also umpire our home games. Fall Ball isn’t just Land Park teams.  Our “Fall Ball League” also includes East Sac Little League and Pocket Little League.  All teams will have home games at Dooley but will also travel to away games at East Sac and Pocket. There will be two options to sign up for:  Skills Training + Games -or- Games Only. Skills Training (details below) is a limited program, Games Only will accept as many players as we can.  Games Only is a great option for families who have soccer players practicing during the week and playing on Saturdays – but still want to get some baseball games in during the fall. The Skills Training will be as follows: AA: Kids who are little league age 7 or 8 on the 2025 league chart and plan on playing in the AA Division next year  Chart: https://www.littleleague.org/downloads/2025-baseball-age-chart/ Instruction will take place at Dooley Field for batting and pitching on Tuesdays from 5:30pm to 7:00pm, beginning Sept. 10, and will run for 4 weeks. The clinic will help kids learn sound fundamental techniques for pitching and hitting so that their AA season will be a good one and that they carry good habits forward. AAA: Kids who are league age 9 or 10 on the 2025 league chart. Chart:  https://www.littleleague.org/downloads/2025-baseball-age-chart/ Instruction will take place on Dooley Field #2 on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30pm to 7pm, beginning Sept. 9, and will run for 4 weeks. Training will be provided by McClatchy baseball coaches and former LPPLL players now playing for McClatchy, and will cover a wide range of drills to improve defensive and offensive skills to ensure a solid base of skills for the spring baseball season. Majors: Kids who are league age 11 or 12 on the 2025 league chart. https://www.littleleague.org/downloads/2025-baseball-age-chart/ Instruction will take place on Dooley Field #1 on Mondays and Wednesdays from 5:30pm to 7pm, beginning Sept. 9, and will run for 4 weeks. Training will be provided by McClatchy baseball head coach Mike de Necochea and his staff, and will cover a wide range of drills to improve defensive and offensive mechanics to prepare kids for the spring baseball season. Games Only/Fall Ball Season:  The Fall Ball season will likely run every Sunday starting on September 15 and will run through the end of October – usually around 6 games.  Schedules are still being determined so these aren’t exact dates. Skills training will include the ability to play in the Fall Ball games, and cannot be separated out from them. The Skills Training fees provide a good source of funding for the McClatchy Baseball program so there are no multiple child discounts.  Note that the Skills Training will only have 24 spots per division available. If you sign up after those 24 are filled there will be a waiting list.

Registration will stay open through the end of August. Please ensure your registration account is in good standing and all outstanding balances are paid. Players will not be able to attend the program until this is completed.  If you have any questions, or want to manage a team, please send me an email at torrey22@yahoo.com.

Thanks,
Torrey Sullivan

2024 All-Stars Making LPP History!

⚾️ This 2024 LPP 12U All-Star team is a group of guys we will remember for a looooong time. ⚾️

They may be headed home but they can hold their heads high. Facing formidable opponents and staying strong both on the field and in the dogout, these boys displayed outstanding sportsmanship, grace under fire, and positive attitudes throughout.

This team is going down in the LPP history books. 🤩 📚

Many, many thanks to our terrific coaching staff, the team parents who gave up so much to support this run, and to an entire community back in Sacramento who showed up big and supported this team in countless ways. 🙏

Hear, hear for our incredible LPP 2024 All-Stars! 🙌🏻 🙌🏻

FROM JUST A WEEK AGO:

We not only hit our fundraising goal for the 12U All-Star baseball team, but we have surpassed it! Together with YOUR SUPPORT, we have raised MORE THAN $30,000!

The evening before the big game tomorrow (more on Game 1 below), we want to offer a ton of gratitude to all of our families, fans, and supporters near and far. The players and their families will never forget this community’s generosity. We even saw other Little League organizations from all over Northern California contributing to this effort, which is simply outstanding.

We also want to call out the following major donors:

Oakland A’s

Ace Hardware

Bike Dog

Harrison Kristopher LLP

Schaff Law Group

SociosPR

Thank you SO MUCH!

Game 1 is on Sunday, Aug 4, at 3pm PT, and it will be broadcast live on ESPN+. This is a paid streaming service, but if you have a Smart TV, it’s relatively inexpensive to sign up for a month at a time.

If you would rather gather with the LPP community (yes, please!) – join us starting at 2:30pm at Bike Dog Brewery on Broadway. The game will be going and the beers flowing, in addition to sodas for our younger fans. We created an Events page on the League’s Facebook account, and we would love for you to share. Be sure to wear any LPP attire you may own!

As for the tournament itself, there are 4 teams from each part of the Western Region: NorCal (that’s us!), SoCal, Hawaii, and Arizona. The tournament runs Sunday through Friday. Here is a link to the bracket:

https://www.littleleague.org/downloads/2024-llb-west-region-bracket

Note that it is a double elimination tournament, until the end. The winner of the one and only championship game on Friday, August 9, takes the W and represents the West in the Little League World Series in Williamsport, PA. We don’t have to tell you twice how much every little leaguer dreams of this. Dream big, boys! You’re almost there.

We are posting updates and heartwarming pictures regularly on our league’s Facebook page, and we also just launched an account on Instagram with terrific videos to kick us off. Please check us out:

Keep an eye on our social media accounts for more updates throughout the tournament.

Go, LPP!

LPPLL Making History: How to Help

Land Park Pacific Little League is making history and you can be a part of it. Twelve kids who played against each other during the regular season are gelling as one dominant team in their march to the World Series in Williamsport, PA.

First, they held off a formidable East Sac team to win the District 7 banner. Then they marched straight through the competition, 10-0, 13-0, and 3-0, in Rancho Cordova to take home the Section 4 banner.  And this past week, they traveled to Madera where they blew out McKinleyville 15-0, took down Northgate 13-2 the next morning, held off San Mateo American 7-6, then earned the NorCal State Tournament banner by taking down Napa American.

With that historical victory, they are now on their way to San Bernardino to face the Hawaii team Sunday, August 4, at 3:00 pm on ESPN+ in the West Region Tournament. And so, the journey continues.

This team’s epic journey comes at a cost to each family of the team. Hotel rooms in Madera were $200 per night, and with a drive of over 2 hours each way, they were necessary.  The drive down to San Bernardino is over 6 hours, or a $500 round trip flight, with hotel rooms at $200 a night.  Your contribution to this team will help offset the over $2,000 in costs for travel and hotel rooms of each family for this tournament alone. Please support our march to Williamsport.  LPPLL is a 501(c)(3) non-profit and your donations can be tax deductible.

You can donate HERE to support this team and their families and become a part of the amazing journey!

Please keep an eye on the LPP Facebook page for exciting updates.

More to come!! Thank you!!!

Support Summer Excellence: LPP All-Stars Hit the Road

It has been a looooong time since a 10-11-12 All-Star team from Land Park or Pacific Little League has made it past the Section 4 Tournament.  So, it is with great excitement and anticipation that we announce that our LPP 12U team has emerged as Section 4 Champions and is now headed to the NorCal State Tournament in Madera, CA! If you follow us on Facebook, you’ve likely seen this news already, and we plan to continue posting updates there.

This terrific team of All-Stars won by capturing the District 7 Championship over their perennial rivals, East Sac Little League, then shutting out the competition, 10-0, 13-0 and 3-0 in the Section 4 Tournament. This is a remarkable achievement, and we couldn’t be prouder of our players.

The Opening Ceremonies for the NorCal State Tournament are at 9:00 AM on Saturday morning, then our boys go to work at 10:30am on Field 1. We believe they are 4 wins away from going to the West Regions in San Bernardino.  Little League International helps support the teams with food and housing when they play in the West Regions, but they do not offer any support for the families to drive 2.5 hours and stay in hotels in Madera/Fresno for this tournament. If we perform to our abilities, this tournament will last through Friday of next week. This will pose a significant financial burden to each All-Star family – more than $300 per day.

It has been 51 years since Pacific Little League made their run to the Little League World Series in Williamsport. So, to help offset the costs our thriving All-Star team will incur, we have set a fundraising goal of $10,000 and are asking our amazing LPP community to support their excellence with contributions of $51 (or any amount you can – every dollar helps).  Please donate via Venmo @LPPLL or PayPal. If you’d like an alternative way to donate, please email us at info@lppll.com.

We also want to offer up a big shoutout to those who have supported all of our baseball and softball All-Star teams this summer, including:

• Realtor Jamie Rich – our snack shack sponsor – donated treats to all of our All-Stars after each game

• Halls Windows funded yard signs for our All-Stars’ homes

Every contribution, no matter the size, makes a huge difference in helping our teams succeed, and we’d love nothing more than for you to consider helping our 12s on the road to more wins!

Thank you for your support and let’s go LPP!

ALMOST TIME FOR ALL-STARS

Selection for All-Star Managers, Coaches, and Players is well underway. Check back here soon for updates on whose LPP season will go into summer, so we can all cheer them on together. Stay tuned!

FUN EVENTS COMING YOUR WAY

Grab your kiddos and their teammates, your family and friends, your colleagues and neighbors for not one but TWO exciting events and opportunities we have in the next few days.

First – join us for our annual LPP Little League Day at this Sunday’s River Cats game – complete with a parade for players! See the attached flyer, and you can also use the link here to get your tickets. The league gets some of these proceeds, too, which benefits our kids big time. As I suggested, grab a group and come on out; it should be a beautiful day for some baseball by the river.

Then, after that fun-filled day with the River Cats, who wants to cook dinner on Monday night? Short answer: NO ONE! We have another Dine Out event this Monday, 4/29, at the Chipotle on Freeport from 5pm-9pm. For every item or meal purchased, the league gets a slice of the proverbial burrito bowl pie, so come on out and help us out — both at the same time. Just show the cashier the flier our league sent out in email or on our Facebook page.

Lastly, if you can’t make it to either of these – we get it! Life is busy. You can still help us out by sharing these with your friends and family on social media. You don’t have to be part of our league to support our league. 🙂

Cheers to LPP!
