Celebrating

Snack Shack

The snack shack, like all aspects of Land Park Pacific Little League, is run by volunteers. Snack shack revenue provides a critical component of the league’s funding and helps keep registration fees affordable.  Working in the snack shack is also a team building experience and great way to meet fellow league families and players.

Each team is assigned to staff and work one or more shifts per season as part of its collective contribution to the league. Working your team’s mandatory snack shack shift(s) does not count towards the refund of your volunteer fund fee.

Logistics for the snack shack shifts are:

— Weeknight shifts are from 4:45 p.m. to close.  The shift is over shortly after the end of the last game and when all the clean-up is done (roughly 9pm)

— Weekend shifts: 8:30-10:45 a.m. [this shift is earning volunteer hours], 10:30 a.m.-2:45 p.m. and 2:45 p.m.-Close (roughly 7pm).

— A minimum number of five (5) people are needed to run the Snack Shack but 6 makes a great shift. At least four (3) workers need to be adults. Failure to have a full crew may result in the closing of the Snack Shack with a sign posted that advertisng the team that did not fulfil their Snack Shack shift and a possible fine covering lost revenue.

— Paid subs are available and paid by the parent they are subbing for.  Subs must be pre-approved by the snack shack coordinator, and no more than two subs (or teenagers working in lieu of parents) can work the same shift. Link to paid sub list: bit.ly/LPPLLTeenSub
