Volunteer Clearance
LPPLL annually conducts background checks on all new and returning managers, coaches, Board members, and team volunteers prior to the beginning of each season. The process begins with the completion of the official Little League Volunteer Application which is submitted for the league to verify that the information on his/her volunteer application is correct. Team parents, umpires and even volunteers helping at practices are required to fill out an application. Once the application is submitted, a link to complete a formal background check will be sent.
Volunteer Fee
The League collects a $100 fee per family at registration. Families may earn this fee back by working 8 hours performing various jobs needed to keep the league running.
Opportunities are offered for families to earn their fee back throughout the season. These events include, but are not limited to:
- Try-Outs (January)
- Opening Day (mid-March)
- Pancake Breakfast (April)
- Home Run Derby (May)
- All Star Tournament [in late June/early July]
- Equipment Swap (Feb)
- Dooley Field work days (tbd)
